My name is Monika Bałaga-Rubaj. I am a psychologist and CBT psychotherapist during a specialized comprehensive training at the CBT-EDU School of Cognitive and Behavioral Psychotherapy in Warsaw.
In therapeutic work, it is important for me to create a safe space, the curiosity of another person, a supportive relationship. I believe that psychotherapy is a unique opportunity for change, development, and a better life.
I graduated from psychology (SWPS) and English philology (UMCS). I work as an assistant professor at the University of Warsaw, where I give lectures and classes on, among others, in English linguistics and psychology. I am also a mediator, specializing in family and economic matters.
I am a member of the Polish Society of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy.
In psychotherapeutic practice, I work individually with adults with mood disorders, anxiety disorders (phobias, generalized anxiety), obsessive-compulsive disorders and with people experiencing life crises (e.g. breakup, loss of a loved one), having difficulties in coping with stress or functioning in social relations.
In my work, in addition to the classic cognitive-behavioral approach, I use elements of schema therapy, dialectic-behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive processing therapy (CPT) and mindfulness techniques.
I also conduct therapy in English.
