My name is Katarzyna Maruszewska. For more than a dozen years, I have been helping people, supporting them in overcoming difficulties. I believe in what I do. I am convinced that psychotherapy has deep meaning and significantly influences our lives and the changes we want to make.
In my work, I particularly accompany people struggling with PTSD and Complex PTSD, as well as those who are seeking understanding of their deep personality and relational patterns. Schema therapy, which has fascinated me for years, turns out to be exceptionally helpful in working with relational trauma and difficulties resulting from early, formative experiences. I am also increasingly drawing on the schema therapy approach in my work with couples, especially where old schemas and modes are activated in the relationship.
I work within the cognitive‑behavioural therapy (CBT) approach as a psychotherapist and supervisor. I work flexibly and I am keen to use modern yet evidence‑based therapeutic methods. Every day, I observe how my work in the CBT and schema therapy approaches supports my patients in healing, going through the process of change, and discovering themselves.
I provide psychotherapy and supervision mainly online, and I also carry out part of my work in Berlin, where I run a private practice as a Heilpraktikerin beschränkt auf das Gebiet der Psychotherapie (Heilpraktiker limited to psychotherapy). I offer online sessions as well as in‑person meetings in my office.
